Christopher Tyner

Chris joined Concord Hospitality in October 2012 as the opening General Manager of the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Springfield, Virginia.  Being credited with one of the fastest ramping Homewood Suites in the Brand portfolio at the time, the hotel was awarded Hilton’s Opening Hotel of the Year and Chris was named Hilton’s General Manager of the Year for the Homewood Suites Brand. Chris moved within Concord to our Cambria Hotels & Suites Washington D.C. Convention Center over 2 years ago. During his tenure, the hotel improved in all metrics from Revenue, Employee Turnover, and Guest Satisfaction. In 2017, he led the hotel to an 8% Revenue growth versus the prior year and decreased turnover by 50%. Chris currently represents Concord on the Diversity & Inclusion Council, the Global Sustainability Committee, as well as he is a member of the Board of Advisors for the North Carolina Central University Hospitality & Tourism Program and served as Chairman in 2016.

Prior to joining Concord, Chris has held several leadership positions (Full Service & Select Service) with Hilton Hotels and Marriott International over the last 20 years. His experience with new openings, renovations, food & beverage, and employee relations will prove highly valuable in his new role.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina Central University in Hospitality & Tourism Administration and enjoys spending free time with family and friends.
