Helene Okabe
Helene Okabe serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Concord, where she focuses on growing the organization’s portfolio and building strategic relationships. Helene’s role includes the evaluation of prospective hotel acquisitions, developments, and new management opportunities. A lifelong hospitality professional, Helene’s passion for the industry began as a teenager lifeguarding at a local hotel and has guided a career spanning operations, sales, marketing, finance, and strategic development.
Since joining Concord, Helene has held a series of key executive roles including Vice President of Feasibility and Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Her earlier career with Marriott International included leadership positions across Sales & Marketing and Accounting & Finance at landmark hotels such as the New York Marriott Marquis, New York Marriott East Side, and New York Marriott Downtown. Her portfolio experience extends across independent hotels and major brands including Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt in the US and Canada.
Helene is also a founding co-chair of C‑Women, Concord’s internal affinity group dedicated to fostering community, mentorship, and leadership development for women across the organization. Deeply committed to education and industry advancement, she has served as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University’s Feliciano School of Business and has been a guest lecturer at Cornell University. Helene has served on Board of Directors, Americas, for the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and on the Advisory Board for Castell@College.
Helene earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her MBA from Rutgers University.
