Longtime Concord associate Denise Scholl recognized with national award

RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 30, 2021) – Concord Hospitality Enterprises, an award-winning hotel management and development company, is proud to announce that Denise Scholl, Corporate Manager of Revenue Strategy, has received the Marriott Hall of Fame award for U.S./Canada Franchise hotels. This achievement is awarded to individual leaders based on their ability to drive their discipline surrounding several strategic objectives, including talent, organization effectiveness, technology, pricing/yield/distribution, analytics/diagnostics and demonstrated value.

“We are elated to see such an accomplished employee acknowledged for all of her hard work and dedication,” said Mark Laport, President and CEO of Concord Hospitality. “Denise’s insight, tenacity, vast knowledge, leadership and adaptability have made her an extremely valuable member of our revenue management team. She consistently performs at an extraordinarily high level and has contributed greatly to the growth and success of many of our properties.”

Scholl began with Marriott in 1979 and worked in multiple disciplines including human resources, front office operations, group strategy and total revenue strategy before joining Concord in December 2010. With her high regard and extraordinary talent, Scholl is often tasked with responsibility for high-profile and highly complex hotels within the portfolio, frequently being charged with opening new, prestigious properties. Her dedication and success is demonstrated through her extensive work with The Ben, an Autograph Collection hotel in West Palm Beach, Fla., in both overseeing the opening of the property and providing revenue management support. In significant part due to her efforts, the top line team at this hotel has successfully ramped up quickly, achieving a 126.8% report index in May.

“It is an honor to receive such a high distinguishment from Marriott, the company where I started my career and one of Concord’s longtime partners,” said Scholl. “I could not be happier to have been a part of the Concord team for over 10 years and work alongside such smart, capable colleagues. I look forward to continuing to work together to advance Concord Hospitality’s growth and success for years to come.”

In addition to her role at Concord Hospitality, Scholl is very active in the community. She is involved with Concord’s annual Share Day, repeatedly donates her time and talents volunteering for food kitchens and serves as a poll worker on Election Day.
