Concord Hospitality Anticipates Year of Continued Growth Following Robust 2021

Award-winning hospitality company ends the year with increase in properties, alongside numerous awards and associate appreciation

RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2022) – While 2021 continued to be a challenging year for the hospitality industry, Concord Hospitality Enterprises maintained positive momentum and marked several notable achievements. The award-winning hotel management and development company ended the year on a high note with an expanded footprint and strong presence across North America, leaving Concord Hospitality well-positioned for continued growth and expansion in 2022.

Concord Hospitality closed out the year with 140 premium select-service, full-service and lifestyle/boutique hotels under management. In 2021, Concord opened 14 new properties and signed 24 new management contracts with existing and new ownership groups. Expanding its reach, the hospitality company added several lifestyle and boutique properties with unique food and beverage experiences, like The Capital Hotel in Little Rock, Ark. The company ended the year with 23 new hotels under development and will continue to grow its management of lifestyle/boutique properties in 2022 with the opening of The Dorian, Autograph Collection in Calgary, Alberta; Hotel Fraye, Curio Collection by Hilton in Nashville, Tenn; and West & Main, Tapestry Collection in Conshohocken, Penn.

In addition, the company received several awards and accolades, including:

  • Marriott’s 2021 Opening of the Year Award for The Ben, Autograph Collection Hotel, which recognizes the very best hotel openings that bring new brand thinking to life and move Marriott forward.
  •  Marriott’s Serve 360 Award recognizing Concord leaders who serve their community. The award aligns with key Marriott initiatives including employee volunteerism, in-kind and cash donations, support of non-profit organizations, and community activities and partnerships.
  • Marriott’s J.W. Marriott, Jr., Guest Experience Award acknowledging hotels and organizations that are “the best of the best when it comes to guest satisfaction.”
  • Hyatt’s 2021 Best New Property Award honoring the Hyatt Place Atlanta Perimeter Center, which recently opened in Atlanta’s Perimeter Business District of Dunwoody.
