Concord Hospitality Wins Developer of the Year for Cambria Suites

Silver Spring, Md. (June 22, 2012) – Mark Laport, President and CEO of Concord Hospitality Enterprise Company based in Raleigh, N.C accepted the prestigious Developer of the Year Award for the Cambria Suites brand on behalf of Concord Hospitality during the 58th annual convention of Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH.) in Las Vegas last month.

The Developer of the Year recognizes the best developers in the Choice Hotel system. Concord was the winner for the upscale Cambria Suites brand. “This award signifies our appreciation for the commitment to excellence in hotel development by Concord Hospitality in the Cambria Suites brand,” said Michael Murphy, senior vice president, Cambria Suites. “We are proud to have Concord help lead the way in the development of Cambria Suites in key gateway cities such as Washington D.C.”

“It is an honor to accept this award on behalf of our outstanding development and design team who play a large part in driving the success of our Quality Concord Cornerstone,” Laport said. “We look forward to opening our newly constructed 182-room Cambria Suites in late 2013, which will be located in the urban redevelopment project CityMarket at the O in Washington, D.C.”
