Supporting Community.

We’re in the business of serving people, and that extends to our community as well as our business. Our community mission is to partner with charitable organizations that provide food and shelter to those in need.

We support our community internally as we serve our own associates in need, and externally, serving needs locally and nationally. We recognize our responsibility to give back to those in our community who are not as fortunate. Every year, Concord associates come together to volunteer in markets across North America. With our partner organization, Feed the Children, we deliver a week’s worth of food and essentials to more than 2,800 families across the country on our annual SHARE DAY.

We’ve also partnered with Clean the World, an organization that recycles and reuses leftover bathroom amenities to help reduce the spread of deadly but preventable diseases like cholera and pneumonia worldwide. When our guests leave behind complimentary toiletry items like shampoo, conditioner and soap, our hotels donate them to Clean the World to help save lives. Every day, nearly 9,000 children die from terrible diseases that can be prevented with proper hygiene. Donations from hotels like ours save countless lives. Together with other participating hotels, Concord Hospitality properties have kept more than 75,000 tons of waste from landfills, and distributed more than 400,000 bars of soap to children worldwide, helping to make sure children everywhere can grow up, and grow up with a cleaner planet.
Concord hotels are recognized routinely each year by their community leaders as well. We are honored to have received the Alice S. Marriott Award for Community Service. This award is presented to Marriott business partners in recognition of excellence in corporate citizenship. We are grateful for the time, talent and resources our associates so willingly give to help improve the lives of others.
